Since my 940 GLE it does not start some times, and it shut off while driving (but it starts again after five minutes), I will need to replace the ignition module.
I had replaced distributor cap, rotor and spark plugs, all new Volvo parts.

A good mechanic tells me about the ignition module, but I do not know where is it!

Also, what is the black square box mounted on the firewall, behind the engine???

My car has the 8-valve, low presure turbo B230FK engine.

Thankyou!

teh black box is for ignition timing. The power stage as it is called by Volvo is located on the drivers fender by the headlamp. Its a silver looking finned unit. However I would check the fuel pressure and fuel pump relay before I replaced the stage. The relays are common for broken solder joints that will cause symptoms like you posted.

Volvotek, the past week the local Volvo dealer find the problem. As you said, it was a bad fuel pump relay. Before I changed the power stage too ARGG! What a waste.

THANKYOU FOR YOUR HELP!
