My car has the six speaker single CD tape deck in it now but I want to swap out the head unit and use a multi channel amp and a sub. Does anyone know the ohms of the six stock speakers and is there an amp running them. Also, where is the amp located. Thanks, D

Try to find the ohmage on each speaker (4ohm probably) then how many outputs has the audio unit and how the wire is going from the output to each driver.
If there are more than one speaker on one output and they are conected + to -

(out+____+speaker-____+speaker-____-out )

then you sum up the electrical resitance of each other to find the equivalent electrical resistance (ohmage). If there is + on + and - on -, then you use Re=(R1+R2)/R1*R2 (where Re=equivalent electrical resistance; R1 the electrical resistance for first speaker in chain and R2 the electrical resistance for second speaker in chain.

I hope you understand and my English wasn't terrible enought.
