Hey man im looking into buying one myself and i have been finding them around the 6-8 thousand range, awesome condition and low miles would prob. pull in the high $7000 or low $8000 so unless there was alot invested in your Volvo(mods/replacements) then you overpayed a thousand or two. Good luck with your new car and have fun breaking in that turbo... if you havent already ;) .

Hi Joe,

I have to say that this 97 850R is so powerful! I really enjoy driving it, sport mode is awesome. Good Luck finding one.

This car belonged to a Volvo Technician. He detailed it, replaced the engine timing belt, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, changed and flushed all the fluids, replace the fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs, tires, front and rear brake pads, front end alignment, and front upper strut mounts.

I thought I paid too much for it to, but oh well.

He did do abit of work on your car. If he had replaced the evaporator and ABS modulator along with all of that it would be worth around $10,000 since an Evaporator installed is around $1300. I must agree that the sport mode is very fun but the onlyu thing i can really compare it to is driveing the Jaguar(moms) and Expedition(dads) since i dont have acsess to many cars. The Volvo you have is a relible car that should last you a couple hundred thousand miles longer. Watch out for the cops if you have the red 1 and if you have a black one then i hope you smoke your buddys that pull up and challenge you( People will do this... This car has SLEEPER written all over it. I love to see the look on peoples faces when you pull ahead of a Boxer.)

Yeah, it's the hot red color with tinted windows. I know I have to watch out for the cops with this one.

Thanks for writing back.

Wow!

Best
