Hi guys,
I wondering if anyone knows how to remove factory stereo in 480 (turbo, 1990)?
I removed small side plastic thingies which I thought would reveal holding screws or something but it didn't. No holding screws to be seen and I am reluctant to use force to try to wedge stereo out it should be easier way I suppose.
Any advice or pointers would be greately appreciated.

Hi, I don't know if this helps but the standard stereo in my car has a couple of holes in each side of the front of the facia. to release the unit you need to insert a release tool into all of the holes at once to free the mechanism. This can be done with 4 small screwdrivers and a bit of patience if you don't have the tool. (although the tools are redily available for a couple of pounds from you local car hifi shop.)

Hi, I made the tools for removing the stereo out of 2 lengths of wire coat hanger, cut them about 6 inches long and bend them in the middle to make a U shape, hope this helps! :57:
