Hey guys. I'm new here and my I have a 91 volvo 940 turbo. It just recently quit when my buddy was driving through a puddle of water. It quit when water may have splashed up and done something to the engine. The engine will turn over, the plugs look fine, the distributor has been replaced and we don't know why the car won't start. We noticed that a wire with a male plastic end is loose up by the intake manifold. The wire leads to the EGR valve and i need to know if it needs to be connected for the car to run or if the plug is just to test it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or answers. Im not sure if it needs to be connected for it to run.
Have you started with the basics?
Do you have fuel?
Do you have spark?
Do you have injector pulse?

Try replacning the flywheel sensor. Its a commen problem on Volvo B230E.
