I must be loosing my touch as I used to be able to figure this stuff out. I want to replace the low beam head lamp bulbs in my 2006 V70 with new bulbs. I'm guessing I need to take the lamp assembly out of the car for easier access to the bulbs but can't figure that out. I see 4 small bolts at the top of the assembly and tried removing them, but the assembly wouldn't move. Before I broke something, I need some advice. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

According to service manual the front bumper has to be pulled forward to remove the headlamp assemblies.

I'll be aquiring an 06 in the coming days. I'm changing some bulbs and I'll let you know about headlamp procedure after I dig in.

Is the 06 different from the earlier models? I have a 2002. You lift the hood, look at the back of the headlight Assembly, there are two round dome shaped plastic covers (one for each bulb) which you turn counter clockwise to remove. Then you can see the back of the bulb. You have to push the spring clip to the side then you can remove the bulb. Make sure you don't touch the glass of the new bulb when replacing.
