OK

Time to put some custom rims and tires on this puppy....question....what are the largest wheel/tire combination I can put on this car (89 760 GLE) I have heard 17" will fit with thin tires but also that 16" are a better look for this car. Any opinions? Any links to custom wheel sites? It seems 5x108 is a somewhat rare size.....

Thanx

Is the whole car lowered or just the front?
What is required to lower a car with Nivomat shocks? Any special mods?
Great looking wagon!!!!

He cheated at first and heated the springs and made them sink.
I don't think you have to change anything on your car.
Yes the entire car is lowered.

OK
I found a set of lowering springs for my car...$300 for the set.
Is that a good price?
Is that all that is required? Is it simply a matter of putting the new springs on and the car will be lower?
Also what size tire will still fit on 18" rims so that they will still fit on my car after it is lowered?
I found borbet type E rims that will fit but I can only find them in 16" and 17".
What brand of rims can I check out that are 18" and will fit this Volvo ('89 760 GLE)?
Thanx

I will let you know the other info tomorrow.

He bought them from:
buywheels.com
He is running 225/45/18 in the front and 235/45/18 in the rear.

Hopefully this helps you locate some rims.

Disregard the site It isn't the proper one I have to find out more info

Ok, still having trouble tracking down a brand or place of purchase for some 18" wheels.
I'm almost thinking this car would look better with 16"or17" and a little bigger rubber. Due to the fact that it is a bigger sedan, I feel this would suit the natural style better.
Any opinions?
Also, are there any OEM or aftermarket rear spoiler wings for this model..something similar to a 960 or 850?
Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx

Im still trying to have him get me the site but he is having trouble finding it.
Volvo does make a spoiler.
Another trick you can do is buy 4 960 door handles and have them painted to match your car then install then for a better look.

Try calling the company's for these sites and see if they can help with 18's
If not there is a bunch of 17's listed on the sites.

The rims he has are TSW S-5

You should be able to view them at TSW.com then go to photo's

Thanx...the tsw's look great.
I found the ones I want. They are a discontinued model..the tsw Apex.
They are 17x7 and come with205/40/17 tires for about $1200 (with the tires and shipping etc.)
I will call tsw to make sure they will fit....not sure about back spacing etc.
