Hello all my first post :) Hopefully you can help me 'cos my hayne manual can't!
I have the dreaded tinworm (rust) in my front wings. Anyone have any idea how they are attached to the car, welded or bolt-on ? Many thanks for any info on it.

Here's a photo of the front part of a V40 to help you. So, which part is it, Campbell?

The wheel arches is where the rust is but it may be easier to replace the whole piece of metal if its just a bolt on at the front (from the front of the doors to the headlight). If it's not a bolt on thing then I will have to get some welding done... :crying:

I think we call them fenders here in the U.S. sorry about the misunderstanding.
They will come off as one peice after removing alot of bolts.Fom under the hood area and under the car.

Oh, the fenders!

Yupp, just need to be unscrewed and a little (soft-)knocking if they get stuck. No need welding.
:)

Good luck!
