:)

Thought you'd like it. Unfortunate that he replaced the engine, though. But must be a blast to ride now.

I kid from where I used to live has a 240 wagon with a Volvo 16 Valve engine in it that he made turbo charged with like a truck turbo. It runs below 10 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

Ford vs. Chevrolet

An LS1 an a 6-speed in a 240 is quite an interesting conversion. A good strong motor should light the 240's rear tires up for sure. Although a tire change might be in order to handle the horsepower. The rear gears in my 91 940 Turbo Wagon is 3:73 I wonder if that's the same for 240 turbo.

I can make a case for American V8's in a Volvo in that I have a 2000 Ford 5.0 in my 940 Turbo wagon. First thing I did was get it on a chassis dyno where it produce 201 max horse power with 265 max torque. With Fords settings on the motor and an AOD transmission plus 3:73 gears it gotten a best of 19.2.

My hats off to the fellow doing the 240 conversion you have to have an above average fund of mechanical knowledge. It's not a coversion for the faint of heart. To be quite honest I'm not the kind of guy, I paid to have the conversion done. The fellow that did it was Ross Converse at www.converseengineering.com check him out.

You know I should proof read what I right. The car gets 19.2 miles per gallon with the 5.0 motor.
