Audio System Problem, Audio disappears

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 29-May 05 Member No.: 5,171 Status: Location: Doha - Qatar Drives: Volvo S40	Sometimes I start my S40 2005 and try to turn on the Radio but I get no Audio at all, :( the same thing with the CD player :angry: , I have to switch of the engine and switch it on again then the Radio works…did any one else face such a problem? Is there a solution for it?? please advise...

My stereo got cured after an upgrade of the software, but til then it´s just to stop the car, take out the key, and sometimes you even got to lock the car from the outside.. :( /D

Senior Group: Members Posts: 261 Joined: 25-January 05 Member No.: 2,659 Status: Location: KY, USA Drives: 2005 S40 2.4i 5 speed	Volvo is aware of the problem. It takes about 20 minutes to fix (hook the car up..download the software update) When you call to make an appointment to have it fixed, have your VIN # so that they know which update to have ready. There are several software updates for the audio system and depending on when your car was built, it may need more than one. :grin:

Each time they supposedly installed a "patch" for the software. Each time I was there people were coming in with the same problem!!! Unbelievable
