Hello, I have a non functioning cruise control, i.e. when I press the cruise button the light at the bottom of the speedometer doesn,t even light up. System appears to be dead.Could anyone tell me if there is a fuse or relay that could be at fault.
I also have a warning appearing in the information display that states "ENGINE SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED". This warning only appears every third start up. Could these 2 faults perhaps be related? Any help would be appreciated.

I think they are very well related.
If there is a problem in the engine then I beleive it disables the cruise.
This way nothing bad happens like the cruise sticking on or something like that.

Just read the comments my 02 d5 model is doing the same but the fault is intermittent did anybody ever get to the bottom of this or is it a trip to the dealers to hand over lots of cash for them to clean a connector.
any help or advise would be most welcome

thanks
