Not in the least. I only average 6000 miles a year, so the engine bay doesnt get dirty very quickly. Maybe four times a year I do the engine. My personal preferance is to spray the engine bay with Simple Green, let it sit a few minutes, then just hose it out with warm water. About once a year I spray it with STP/Armor All after hosing it out. If we sound sad, I dont want to be happy :grin:
