I own a 2002 C70 Convertible and the lock on the drivers door is not working or engaging? The latch will move up and down (electronically) so I'm not sure what needs to be replaced. Any tips on the removal and installation would be appreciated. Looks like a very tight squeeze to remove the motor, assume one entry would include removing the 2 screws on the side of the door? Removing the door panel is not an issue, appreciate any help.

Lock assembly is one unit. Everything you have said is correct, removal of panel is necessary for access. Just need to go to your local dealership and purchase a replacement. Good luck.
