Hi
The cruise control button on the steering wheel fails to illuminate the cruise icon in the dash (and cruise won't function at all) - this may be linked to an engine service reminder message which has just appeared. Volvo Virgin suggested this link has happened to him - http://www.volvo-forums.com/index.php?show...=cruise+control Why is this? To avoid you using cruise to go miles and miles? Surely it's my right to choose whether I service the thing or not and not to have to suffer if I choose not to? I've heard of other manufacturers actually linking service reminders to preventing engine start if left long enough (Jaguar). Other boards give an indication how to possibly reset the service reminder - guess doing this would clear my cruise issue? Ian |

Dealer reckoned it wasn't linked to service message. Replaced a sensor on the clutch pedal and cruise is now back.
