well i was driving down the road one night and all of a sudden my windshield wipers came on... so i found the appropriate fuse and removed it temporarily, so the next day i put it back in, and the problem stopped. so that night i turned to head lights on and there it was again, can anyone help me? when i put my highs on the left is very dim and my left turning light is also, in lows when turning on my blinker the left headlight also, can anyone help me? has this happened to anyone? kinda sux especially passing a cop with a blinker at night. pls help.

Its probably something to do with the stalk control switches on the steering wheel. the terminals in them are probably knackered. It might be worth going to a breaker yard and finding some there and replacing yours.

what are the stalk control switches? where can i find them? and what do i need to do to get to them, and how would i know if they were bad or not? would it be burnt out or anything?

they are the controls that you use when you turn on your wipers, or indicators or flash your headlights ... the levers sticking out the side of the steering wheel coloumn.

you would have to remove the cover on the coloumn and they will be in there. i dont think you will actually be able to take the switches to pieces, but they will be burnt out. they are held in with a couple of screws and will have a multi-plug attached. its pretty easy to change out.

well apparently there is a tiny short right after the left blinker that is creating the problem does anyone have any idea how this is? the blinker triggering the windshield wipers? thats crazy, lol. and i know this has been asked b4 does anyone know where to get euros or a different style of headlight fixture, and can anyone tell me how to get the piece off to replace it? i may be stupid or something but i dont know... thank you for all the help

ok ... probably because the headlights have washers too and the wires run in the same loom. the washers there are also linked to your windscreen washers.

ebay is prob best for new units mate.
