I have been posting in alt.autos.volvo. But I thought I would post here as I am still having trouble

One problem is which fault code chart do I use do the "Table 1: Bosch LH2.4 and Motronic 1.8 Fuel Injection Fault Codes"? If so the 131 seems to mean rpm sensor.

Its probably a $20 dollar part from a scrappy but in a few other posts similar to this, it might be worth checking out your ignition amplifier. its a little bosch unit and is to be had on ebay new from around £10-£18 for me so ... might be worth a check.
