The ABS light is now on, and in the past, I was able to pull jiggle the sensors on the wheels and reseat them and it seemed like the problem would go away for a while. I know their is the $125 rebuild of the abs module, but I hate to throw money at that, when it could be the abs wheel sensor being loose, dirty, or something at that level... any ideas? |

I had the same thing in the Netherlands and had it removed by a student for EUr125 who broke it open with a special tool and rewelded some of the joint and glued the thinkg together again. Then to test it, drive backwards hard and put on full brake, the ABS should then be full in control. I haven't had any errors since.

Search eBay for "C70 ABS module" and you'll find that BBA Remanufacturing will rebuild your module for much less than $125 and give you a lifetime warranty. They did mine a few years back and I haven't seen the ABS light (except during start up diagnostic check) since. |
