My car power seat doesnt work... Both side. I checked and changed the fuse (they werent burn) and still not working. The power seats started to have some kind of hesitation and just totally stop working after 2 weeks.

As my carpet is wet when raining, I assume that if the module is under the carpet, water will damage it. My question is where is the module located on a s40 2004.05?

The carpet is only wet on the driver side and behind the driver seat. I test the drain by pouring water in the sunroof drain and water was getting out behing the car tires. I checked the hoses and no leak were found. What can it be?

I have very similar problem. My power seats stopped working, but the water is in front of the drivers seat and not behind.

Did you ever find the solution to these problems.

The following information is from Volvo's description of the electrical system on the S40 & V50. It seems the control panel & power seat module are integrated so should be above the waterline until the water is well above your ankles! The motors, however, may be more susceptible to water damage. The water on the driver's side is most certainly from the drain for the sunroof becoming blocked or dislodged. See previous discussions on this problem in this forum. The drain from the a/c can dislodge also but this on the passenger side in the USA.

POWER FRONT SEATS
The control panel is directly connected to the motors and there is no control module.
Power Seat with Memory (driver's side)
The control panel is integrated in the PSM (power seat module).
In total six different settings can be stored by the control module:
Three from the remote controls.
Three from the control panel.
The memory function includes automatic door mirror settings.
There are four motors to control the seats. A maximum of two motors can be activated at the same
time.

Thanks. I cleaned the drains for the Sunroof so that should be fixed. Still no luck with the power seats. I only ever had water on the driver side, so the passenger side should not be effected.
