Well, actually the SAAB picked me. I know the lady that owned her and I had expressed interest in it over a year ago when I saw it sitting in her carport. She took my # and out of the blue called me and said she just needed to get rid of it, how about $500 so........ who am I to question fate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Another project but a worthwhile one for the price/condition, albeit a wimpy non turbo w/ auto box.

I just happened to look down and thought, BessyLou sure looked purdy sitting there so while I had the camera out I snapped a picture. My wife has flowers everywhere!

The SAAB is away at the shop for some necessary work [I'm too lazy/busy] but I'll need to remember to keep them separated when it comes back, to keep the Swedish meatballs to a minimum (IMG:style_emoticons/default/banana.gif)

I bet it's the relay. I'll be sure to let everyone know.

So, it wasnt the relay.

But on to your question about the cooling fan, i have checked that while it seemed to be offered separately by the online companies, i dont think there were any different. I dont have my VADIS with me though. I could be wrong. Well, dont take my word for it.

I got that cooling fan issue fixed a few weeks ago. It was a simple wiring problem, works fine now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The SAAB is history. It didn't last long, someone saw it and had to have it more than me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here's my latest acquisition, a 1985 Mercedes W123 280CE Crayford convertible, a euro spec car with 67k miles.

I'm a Mercedes guy at heart and I have been looking for something unique [1 of 10 is a bit unique] for a while now. It was only about an hour north of me and was owned for 18 years by the 2nd owner, an aeronautical engineer, who very recently passed away. He was in the process of removing the convertible top fabric for replacement but got sick and the car sat for 2 years or so, some of that time outside in the weather. It runs and drives like a champ but I need to replace the top and do some upholstery work. There's some rust in the rear floor pans that need some attention, due to standing water that got in because of poor storage outside. I'm grateful to own this special car.

Sad to say that I sold my wagon a couple of days ago. I placed an ad and within a few hours it was gone. I could have sold it 10 times. I just had too much on my plate and bought a few other projects so........... bye bye BessyLou.

I enjoyed owning you and I'll miss you.

Sorry to hear of the Volvo, but congrats on the purchase of the Mercedes!
