Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 16-May 05 Member No.: 4,932 Status: Location: London, England Drives: 1999 Volvo S40 T4	I've just brought a 1999 volvo s40 T4. When I lock the car with the remote, the led on the dash remains on permanently. However if I lock it with the key it flashes as it says it should do in the manual. I've checked and when the car is locked with the remote the car is deadlocked. Any ideas?

Drives: Mustang,1995 Yellow T5-R,1996 850 Trubo	There is a computer that monitors the alarm system and if there is a fault it will store codes in the system. That sounds weird what is happening.I have never seen that before. I think there might be a fault in the drivers door lock motor assembly.It might be stuck in a position unless you use the key to lock it. There is micro switches in the lock assembly.One might be sticking or something like that and when you use the key it forces it to work.
