I've been having much trouble in locating speakers for a 1994 960 Volvo. The difficulty is attributed to the fact that my vehicle requires 8-ohm impedance speakers (Bose system), whereas most speakers are 4-ohm.

I have attempted to go through crutchfield and other vendors (best buy, tweeter, etc.), but all they have are 4-ohm speakers. Also, I've tried to search through ebay and found factory bose speakers for other models (don't know if these can fit).

The dealer cost is $280.00 for a pair (not including installation).

Also, if anyone knows of where I can find the specs of my audio system, that would be very helpful.

i don't think your going to be able to get bose speakers for your volvo only because when they do car audio its done to stock cars. i asked a bose representative if they did aftermarket speakers and they said they couldn't because they design the speakers for optimum sound quality for that specific car.
