Just picked up a nice 94 940. Somehow the alarm enabled itself and now I
cannot seem to disable it. Each time I open the door off it goes. Locking and
unlocking the doors with key has no effect.

1. What caused the alarm to enable
2. How do I disable it without the key fob?

Thanks, Dave

I think it is an aftermarket alarm and you will have to find the brain under teh dash. Most of the time they mount it under the dash by the steering coulmn.
Also look for a little switch under the dash somewhere. If you find one turn the key on and flip the switch and turn the key off and see if it stop arming.

Yep, found it on sunday. A small switch under the dash. To disable,
I got in the car, listened to the alarm until it quit, flipped the switch,
started the car, stopped it. Now alarm is disabled.

Thanks :D

Your welcome anytime.
You will have to do that anytime the battery dies or is replaced.
