Drives: 1999 Toyota Corolla, 1987 Volvo 740 GLE (non-turbo)
Ok, So I'm a newbie, so I apologize for my lack of knowledge. Therefore I come to you!

I got my 1987 740 home and the light bulb indicator was lit. No big deal. I checked it all out and the driver's side brake light bulbs were out. I've replaced all three (on the bottom) bulbs, one of which was wrong and I replaced it with the correct bulb. They all light now, but the indicator is still lit on the dash. It lights up when I hit the brakes and when the headlights are on.

Any sugestions?

have you got any lights out on the car at all? if not, then check the connections on the lights, if they are corroded or rusty them give them a good clean so they are shiny. if that fails to turn it off then its probably the bulb out indicator relay itself that has gone.
