i have a new steering lock and ignition barrel to fit and need to remove my steering wheel. In order to do this i have to undo an 18mm nut behind the airbag. Is anyone aware of the safe procedure to carry this out. This is a C70 2001 model.

Thanks.

first, disconnect battery. then with battery disconnectted, put key in ingnition, turn key to on position, unplug the bag, re connect battery so that you can turn the steering wheel, i am not sure for the c70, but on the 850, you need to turn steering wheel to get to both screws on back of the wheel, then remove the bag.
