My husband would like to repair power seats himself. He has already taken seats out, does anyone know if the cables could be the problem and how to repair.

if they dont work on both sides then it is most likely the fuse for them has blown. do the wires all look clean and not burnt or fatigued split etc...?

Had the same problem with my S90 (960 with a different name plate, my opinion). On my car the seat gears, on either side, are driven from a central motor via flexible shafts. Look in the S90 forums for detailed repair posts. When I repaired my all I had to do is remove the flex shaft from the motor, readjusted the shaft, and reinstalled it. I am sure that I will need to do a real repair one day, but for now my seats move with no issues.
