Just purchased a 2002 C70 Convertible. The owners manual shows where the Dip Stick to check the automatic transmission fluid is located... no Dip Stick.
I also checked my wifes 2004 XC90 and can't find the one with the yellow handle. Do these cars have automatic transmission dip sticks? Thanks for your help |

:blush: My guess is you need to look a bit closer, back near the firewall...If its an automatic, you've got a dipstick..May be hidden behind a hose or some wiring...They are small capped., mine is yellow, not sure if yours is the same color....If all else fails, call the local Volvo Dealer, ask for the service writer..He/She will know......Good luck

open hood. look to see where the radiator is, found it? now look and see the big tube, hard plastic that runs from the right side curves over and runs to the airbox. found that? now look under it. the dipstick should be there. like damotu posted, it might be a different color, but most likely it's yellow. it should be a square-ish handle.

dealer told me the dipstick was hidden on purpose so people dont put the wrong type of tranny fluid in.
