I decided that I wanted to customise my grill but due to a mishap and me not paying attention, the grill now looks horrible. All the centre slats have been taken out with chunks left were they used to join the outer frame of the grill. So I have painted this black to pull some attention away from it, but will now have to replace the grill.

First thought, can it be fixed? Probably not. As I threw the centre parts away, I can't glue things back together as before.

I would have to buy another grill, but Volvo and a couple of other people are quoting me $500 for a new OEM grill. That's a bit rich for a plastic grill.

From what I have read on various forums, the S60 grill doesn't fit. Is there any other grill that would fit a 99 S80 T6? I'm not concerned if it is a Volvo grill or not, but just something to fill in the gap.

Does anyone have a grill that they have lying around that they want to send to Australia :)?

:cat: Good morning Aussie draco.

Sorry to hear about the disaster with the grill. When you mess up three grills while installing them on your car-we might consider making you a moderator! :P

You did not mention whether or not you have tried the local car wrecker.

Euroline Autoparts +64 9 294 7635

Specialised Autoparts (1999) Ltd +64 4 527 8111 or fax +64 4 527 8115

Those two wreckers might be worth a try.

Cheers from us in very sunny New Zealand-yeah right

G'Day

Sorry yes should have mentioned I tried a few wreckers and no-one has an S80 Grill that can be sourced. Supposedly no one in Australia has got one. Bit depressing when they come back after doing a search saying that it's $500 for a new OEM one, or $290 for an aftermarket one. I would understand if either of these were made of gold.

:cat: Good afternoon draco.

Both the wreckers I mentioned are in NZ.

I'm surprised to hear that S80 owners/drivers are so carefull that we don't reshape our cars all that often!

Cheers and Good Luck :right:

Thanks Auckland, I will try and give them a call tomorrow morning.

I tried to reshape the car so that I could get a different look for it. I am trying to sell it but it's going nowhere at the moment - sigh!!!

Once the car is gone, I will be a lot happier.

You can also try ebay

http://motors.shop.ebay.com/_Car-Truck-Par...idZm270Q2el1313

I get my parts from Volvo Orange County.
Easily googled.

Their asking price for original parts is on average 1/3 of the dealers here in NZ and about the same as some dismantlers/wreckers for a new part.

Most importantly their shipping costs are reasonable.

Good luck
