First off I'm glad to be a part of this website.

Anyways, I just purchased a 1987 760 turbo intercooler. It doesn't go into overdrive. Is this a common problem?

Also, I have an electric drivers seat. it doesn't work. Do the motors usually burnout?, or does that electric box on the side of the seat go out?

Thanks in advance

your electric seat is probably a fuse has blown. possibly as a result of a valet and the soap has got into the electrics

with regards to your gearbox problem, a few things to check, the over drive relay is the first point of call, if thats dodgy then you wont get anything from it, possibly the fuse first actually. the next thing is the switch - the contacts might be burnt or broken. the last thign that has probably gone would be the actual solenoid attach to the gearbox, thats a garage job there.

not too sure about that mate. i only have manual seats in my car, and all it is is 4 allen bolts on the drivers side and 4 12mm hex bolts on the passenger side. they are really damned awkward to get to though.

heed the warning: your fingers and hands WILL get cut and grazed
