i have a one year old v50 20d se which i like very much, but my front tyres only last about 18.000miles they wear even , are there harder wearing tyres on the market than perrelli p7 205/50/r17

18,000 miles seems reasonable to me. Tyres are always a compromise between hard compound with long life but poor grip and softer compound with shorter life and better grip.

I'd always go for better grip than maximum life. And always buy top brand tyres. Cheap ones from Far East are deadly.

Continental have had some good reports in UK car press.
