Hi all,
I own a 1994 Volve 850 (2.4 NA) and now I am planning to sell it.
It's has been our 2nd car in the family, so rarely drive.
Now it travels 52095 miles (83840 km) as 1st owner, completely perfect condition. Got it regular service in local Volve authorized shop.
Got all the standard options like power seat, window,ac,6 cd changer...etc.
I had search around but only seen some high mileage one with cheap price, how much should I sell my car for?

Thanks

well, not sure about in new zealand, but try it this way. how many miles on the other 850 that you saw? is yours in better condition? then double the price and add 20% on top of that. good luck.

Maybe you should ask either Auckland or PoopBunny for help on that.

Get in touch with a motoring organisation such as the Royal Auto Club of New Zealand and they should be able to give you some idea of what your vehicle is worth.

Hi me ol' Kiwi cousin.

No, I'm not sure there is an organisation in New Zealand called 'The Royal Auto Club of New Zealand'.

The only thing I know about New Zealand is that there a millions of sheep and they have a second rate-rugby team, but I can assure you there is a motoring club here in Victoria called 'The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria' (usually called RACV) of which I'm a member, and I'm certain there are equivalent motoring organisations in all other Australian states.

Please don't blame me if New Zealand is so far behind.

Come to think of it, that's probably explains why my son-in-law came out from NZ 25 years ago and never went back. That proves there are some Kiwis who have heard of the RACV and other such organisations - even if you haven't.

 of course these last posts don't help out this member, but they sure as f&kc are funny as hell. way to go... and to pennyfan, if these didn't help in you trying to figure out how much to sell your 850 for, just send the propective buyers to this forum. we'll make sure to confuse them just as much, if not more, and they'll pay whatever you ask of them.. just to get us to stop. hey guys, is it true that the toilets flush backwards in australia and new zealand? (watch them get all bent out of shape  )

Don't mention backwards in the same sentence as New Zealand - the sheep start getting mighty nervous!

Unfortunately, unless you can find a Volvo person (and not all Volvo persons love the 850 like we do), the unpleasant, hard facts are these - it is a 14 year old vehicle and will probably need expensive maintenance in the not too distant future, and it is also a Volvo which many 'knowledgeable' people wouldn't touch in a pink fit.

So, even though you have looked after it well, and even making an allowance for it's low mileage, the sad truth is it will not bring much more than another 850 in the same general condition but with a higher mileage.

true. if you have the room, part out the car and sell it piecemeal. you'll get more for the individual parts than as a whole. weird huh. and volgrrr, are you sure you meant to say "Greece" instead of new zealand? greece, where the men are super manly, and the sheep run. real fast. backwards.
