I purchased my 2006 Volvo S40 2.4i in Florida. Of course there aren't many hills or twists and turns there on most roads. I never really noticed the amount of roll during cornering until I moved to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. At that time I noticed that I just didn't care for the handling quite as much on winding roads.
I purchased a rear anti-sway bar and just had it installed. WOW!!!!! What a difference. A high quality rear anti-sway bar is the best inexpensive upgrade I have made to my S40. It made a very large difference in the way the car handles while driving on curvy roads. Nice flat cornering!!!! The S40 handles much better now. |
