My 04 1.9T just started rapping today. It sounds like a bad bearing. The engine was well maintained and I have used Mobil 1 synthetic oil since I own it. Has anyone heard of one of these motors going bad at just over 100,000?? I thought Volvo's lasted forever :-(

They dont normally go bad at 100k although theres bound to be the odd bad one about like anything. Whats do you mean when you say rapping as ive never heard that term before when refering to an engine?
