Hello all, just trying to figure why the factory alarm doesn't work on my wifes 98 S70. All the buttons on the remote work except for the panic button. Doors lock and unlock and trunk works. When I lock the doors the parking lights flash and there are no sounds.(Is the horn supposed to beep?). Also the led on the dash does not light. I checked the fuses but all are good. I locked the doors with the remote, left the drivers window opened and reached inside to open the drivers door. Nothing happened the door just opened. This is our first volvo. So I don't know much about them. I'm just a Ford nut. My Dad bought the car for my wife for her Birthday, so I really can't complain, just a couple of issues with her. The usuall abs and tracks light. I haven't taken the module off yet to get re-soldered. Thanks for any help you guy's can give me, as to what to look for and check for the alarm. Steve
