I have a 91 940 SE (turbo) Wagon. There is an electrical gremlin I cant find and it wont start. I was going to dump the car but found a 92 960 (non turbo) with blown motor. Are the engines in these 2 cars compatible?

No, the 960 is a 6 cylinder engine and the 940 is a 4.
Why don't you take the 940 to an electrichen to sort that this out.

alon, it is possible to swap a 940 to a 960, its just cheaper to sort out the electrics.

I'm just going to ditch the car don't have the room for it and all the electronics are shot including climate controll shame though would have made an excellent vehicle for camping

i wouldnt ditch it just yet, get a quote from several garages to see if they can sort it first, then weigh up your options of whether u think its worth it or not, then if not, shove it on the classifieds on this board, i am sure someone would like it as a project or spares etc...

Matt, He want's to take the 940 engine into the 960 body.
The problem is the electronics, and you must move the electronics with the engine (at least part of it).

Does the engine run? what kind of electronic problems do you have?
The climate control can be fixed or replaced easily.

The problem is the kid who had it before me hacked it together and at one point an alarm was present. The other thing is I have no garage to work on it at my apartment and my dad wants it out of his yard.

I've had spark so its going to be something dumb but really i only paid 1100 for the car so I think its time to cut my losses.
