Hi there, I have a 2000 model V40 2.0T which has developed an odd problem.
The ECU light is on and my independent Volvo garage tested the system and said the MAF sensor is faulty.
Now here's when things get strange... I dismantled the MAF to take a look and give it a clean-up and can see that one of the sensor blades on the pick-up in the pipe is broken. I reassembled the unit turned on the ignition and turned it off and got the radiator fan cutting in, but even with a cold engine start and then immediate turning off the ignition the radiator fan cuts in and runs for 5+ minutes!
Does anyone have any ideas?
I've ordered a new MAF sensor which should hopefully come soon.
