Are there any known issues with the Volvo V40 1998?
Im gonna buy a used car. My first Volvo.
I have heard that it is a safe familycar and its comfortable to drive.
But are there any errors that i should look for before i buy it?

I know that the hood can get rusted from the grill on the car. Some electronic problems and a suspencion problem.
Anything else?

Drives: 1999 Volvo V40 2.0T Auto estate
I have just bought a V40 estate with 104000 miles. Its 2 litre petrol auto. It has been looked after by the previous owner. The engine looks new! Runs superb. Heavy on fuel at 28mpg compared to my deisel Passat before at 40mpg. I am absolutely delighted with the car. So Smoooooooooooooooooth and refined and relaxed to drive. :)
