Drives: '06 Volvo s40 2.4i and '03 VW Golf TDI
I have a "new" '06 s40 2.4i with a manual transmission. As the topic title indicates, my clutch is as creaky as an old wooden ship. The dealership lubed it up a couple of weeks ago and the creaky stopped. However, it has returned.

The car's got only 10K miles on it. Anyone else with this problem??? If so, what did you finally do to rid the car of this annoying noise? Thanks! :)

Just an update: My dealer replaced the spring assembly on the clutch pedal last week. Voila! No creaking anymore. I gather it's a TSB.

So, if anyone else is having this problem, skip the lube job and go straight to the TSB!!
