hello to all. :57:

im new here :banana:

would someone please tell me how much grunt a 96 850 glt 2.5 is ment to have? just swapped from a 1.8 440 and that seemed to have more go in it. please help

850 2.5 GLT: 10v 140 bhp / 0-60 10.5 ish / max speed 127
20v 170 bhp / 0-60 9.5 ish / max speed 131
1.8 440`s 0-60 11 to 11.5 max speed 110 ish

you probably need to give it a service ( ht leads / dizzy cap and rotor / plugs etc..)

I always find that the bigger heavier cars "hide" their speed better. Their speedos are also generaly more accurate. The 440 may feel quicker since its smaller with more road noise etc, and may have been fibbing a little more with regards to what real speed it was doing :blush:

that is a true very true phenomenon. The same in hondas, you can run a civic motor stock in a crx, and smash a any other civic with that same motor.
Weight plays a major roll in performance.
HAVE THE MOTOR DYNO'ED.
Get your true number values, compare to your original numbers, that will tell all.
