Hello all,

It looks like I am one of many with this problem. We have an 00 manual V40 non-diesel. Once or twice a week it will cut out in drive at low speeds, everything...mechanical, electrical. Nothing will work. You have to throw it back into park and turn the key back and restart it. Everything starts back up and you are on your way (but radio needs to be reset). Volvo dealer found nothing wrong. Today this happened to my wife in traffic at low speeds on the freeway trying to merge into a faster exit lane. This is going from nuisance to something potentially dangerous. I would almost like to get rid of the car, but this is a problem you would feel horrible just passing along to an unknowing buyer. Any thoughts? Does Volvo know about all of these issues? Thanks!
