I just put about 8 gal (30L) of 87 octane in my tank this evening, and after doing the math, I'm getting about 18.4 MPG (5.5 LPM). I was hoping low to high 20s. Mine's a '99 S70 with 156K miles on it.

Am taking car in to local dealership tomorrow to repair the ETM under the recall, so I hope the mileage figures improve when it's finished. I'll put up my post-repair mileage figures when I get them.

I too would be very interested to hear what other folks are getting with healthy running S70s.

I live in upstate NY and have a 98 V70 with 130k miles and Low Pressure turbo.
The best we have gotten is 30 mpg on the Thruway and I average 24-25 commuting to work. If you got 30 mpg with a T5, you were doing good.
You may have heard of better mileage, but in the real world I would doubt
the numbers.

By my calculations at 551 miles from a tank you are getting 30mpg (US) or 36mpg (UK). If you are getting that in a T5 - it is fantastically economical. If someone else can get 700 miles to a T5 tank they must spend most of the time being towed.

Hello! I have a 99 T5 with 160K miles and get 26-27.5 mpg - better in the non-AC months. This is normal commuting, town / interstate, etc.

i used to get 25-29 depending on the speed. with cruise on at 80, 26 mpg with a modded engine. i was ecstatic at that. you should be happy with that. the guy with better than 30 mpg was probably drafting a semi.
