Have a 2001 S60. When I use the turn signal for turning left, it often doesn''t work until I push down on it and move it a little back and forth. Then it blinks like it should. I''ve had the turn signal socket replaced already and it has started acting up again. Is this common? Any recommendations?

Do you mean the bulb holder?
I have had the same problem with both front direction indicators. I have tried everything to get it sorted but every now and then it plays up - not sure if a new bulb holder would solve the problem really. There have been a few comment on here about using bulb grease to get a better contact between the holder and the buld but I haven't found it in the UK. |

No, I'm not talking about the bulb holder. It's the turn signal arm that you press inside the car when you are driving and want to make a left hand turn.

:blush: I have the same problem, Left turn signal on my 2002 S80 T6..The right turn works as it should....Certainly be interested if anyone has found a solution.

common issue. mine works and isn't as tricky as yours but can be an **** sometimes.

I think I would be inclined to get a new stalk (or even second hand on ebay) and after fitting it I would take apart the faulty one to see what the problem is?

I have a similar problem with my 2002 S60 stalk indicator particularly when turning left. I had changed to a new one before after 3 years of usage and now it is hapenning again after 3 years. I guess it has its own life span and need to be changed every 3 years.
