Drives: 2001 Volvo S60
Have a 2001 S60, 75k miles. When I put the key in, sometimes the ignition switch won''t turn. I jiggle the steering wheel and also the key in the ignition, but the ignition is locked up. Eventually, I seem to find the right spot while jiggling the key and the switch turns. I''m afraid this will continue to get worse. If I have to start putting a lot of money into it, I may sell it. Is this a common problem? Any recommended fixes?

It is a relatively common problem reported here. My '02 AWD had the same thing. I just had it replaced near the end of my extended warranty.

It will get worse and more common, especially (at least in my case) if the wheel is anything but dead straight when you park.

I don't know the cost since it was under warranty.
