my fuel guage has been jumpy lately and has been incorrectly displaying how much gas i have in my tank. is there a relay that could be involved. Or is it probably a wiring problem?

its most likely a loose wire somewhere along the route from tank to guage. mine in my 740 auto does it all the time. depends where i have the gear stick in mine and how full the tank is whether it displays the correct or incorrect amount.

A thign to check would be on the bank of the tank ... you may have to go into the boot and remove the metal plate in there to see it ... and check on the big screw things that the arrow alignment markings are lined up correctly.

Have a 93 940 mine will show empty, sometimes after turning a corner or just at random. It comes back when I tap the instrument panel lightly. So I am guessing its a loose connection. Havent had the time to fully research. Not real excited about taking the dash apart. Good Luck
