have a 1995 850. it just started smelling like gas in the cabin. replaced mas air flow sensor but smell persists. fuel preasure s fine. any ideas as to the cause? it doesnt seem o be coming from the vents.
another question my fan speed only works on high. settings 1-3 do nothing? |

check the gas cap and see if the seal is bad. and i think there was a service bulletin about the sealing around the fuel pump. check and see if it was ever taken care of.

Yes, if its from inside the cabin, i'll look at the black seal that holds the fuel-pump as well... to begin with.

There has recently been a recall for the gas tank leaks on these. you might check your tank and/or call the nearest dealer they will check it for free

Good idea, maybe you can get the dealer to check the source of the leak for free, while at that. I mean, who knows... I mean, even though chances are that the leak at the gas tank would be external, and hence may not be so evident from inside the cabin, but yeah, you can try.
Things like this, needs time for proper identification. You just need to know where the leak is coming from. :) Cheers. |
