My 960 starting pumping a heavy concentration of sulfur dioxide through the air system yesterday evening. I'm guessing either my EGR or PCV valve has died. Where are they located and is there a "backyard mechanic" way to check them??

If it's PCV that is clogged, it's called flame trap in your volvo.
