The emergency brake on my 1988 240 has ceased to function and I'm up for inspection soon.
The cables seem tight when I pull the lever up but no action on the brakes. This looks a bit complicated as all cables run through tubes. I need to take the tires off and check inside the rear wheels. Let me do the check inside the rear brakes first then see where I stand.

Yes let us know how you make out.
Once the rotors are off have someone pull the E-brake up and see if the shoes open.You might just have to adjust the E-brake.
