Hi all. First post from me.

My 1998 V70 T5 keeps overheating. I recently had the thermostat replaced and I think that air got in the system restricting the flow of coolant and leading to overheating after about 15 mins of driving.

So, I have drained and refilled the coolant but was surprised that only 4 litres of coolant mix was needed before reaching the max level of the expansion tank.

So my questions are...should I be putting more than 4 litres in (my Haynes Manual suggests 7 for a turbo model)?....and have I still got an airlock in the radiator or somewhere else?

Any advice??

From total empty it should hold between 1.5 to about 2 gallons.
