How do I clear the ABS, Tracs and Service lights form my dash on my 97 850? The Tracs switch does nothing when I push it. I need new brakes and rotors all the way around and I haven't looked at the sensors yet to see if they have grime and buildup on them. I just purchased this car and I am new to Volvos. Purchased a manual but not much in it on warning lights and how to clear them. I do have an OBD 2 tool but I don't read any codes. Any help here would be appreciated!

You need to read the ABS codes. Your OBD2 tool may not be sufficiently prepared to read the ABS codes, hence the no reading.

Am not sure though, which scantool can do it, but i know for sure, the Volvo ScanTool can do everything.

more than likely you need a module, do a search, there are two different people who rebuild them, around $150 with shipping and a two day turnaround. you'll need an E5 socket to remove the module. do a search as i remember several posts about this same topic.
