I just purchased an 87 745GLE 4-speed with ~260k, and have been bringing it up to running condition. I took it for a drive today, and decided to run the AC because of the oppressive heat. About half of the time when I would clutch-in and stop for a light, the engine would fail to compensate for the extra drag given by the AC and stall out.

So, I'm looking for ideas on what this could be. I was told by a buddy of mine that he had the same problem on an old Puegeot 504 and it ended up being the fuse for the "idle control solenoid". I'm about to go check for a fuse of that sort, but is there any sort of common cause on the the B230 that I don't know?
