Hi guys, just wondering if any of you might have or might be able to take some pics of the a/c compontents on the 850''s? (compressor, evap...ect)
My car has the a/c button but when i turn it on the air doesn''t get cold and i don''t hear the compressor working? i don''t know if i still have the proper components or if they where yanked out.
Also, if they are all there, and there is a leak(no more freon), will it cause the compressor to not kick in? thanks

You can get it check for aircond gas, but sounds like a fried magnetic switch in the compressor to me.

Cheers.

Oh, as for aircond parts, try here.

What about a malfunctioning a/c relay, pressure switches (high/low), a/c clutch solenoid gap, etc.?

hey guys, thanks for the reply. the thing is that i got the car a couple of months ago and from the get-go, the a/c unit hasn't worked. As someone told me, if there is no freon present, the compressor will not kick in, which i think is what's happening now. I was thinking of getting one of these refill kits, fill her up and atleast see if it kicks in and works well...eventually, if there is a leak, the system will stop working again but at least i know that it works, if it doesn't, at least i haven't spent that much money on it.....does this make sense?
thanks

Its worth the try, of course.
And it should cost less.

But off hand, you can check if the system is low on freons, just from the drier unit.
